The faculty annual evaluation process is an excellent opportunity to shape individual and collective faculty development. But, have you considered leveraging faculty annual evaluation together with organizational development to effectively forward the school’s mission, vision and values and address CODA standards? Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine – South Jordan, Utah will share its story (and outcomes) of aligning position descriptions, dean’s vision, promotion documents and CODA standards to create a new faculty annual evaluation process, electronic form with rubrics, positive messaging and supervisor training to support faculty annual evaluation that is forward-focused, supportive and developmental for the faculty and for the school.
Learning Objectives:
Describe the rationale for leveraging faculty annual evaluation and organizational development to effectively forward the school’s mission, vision and values and address CODA standards.
Identify examples of faculty behavior that you would like changed by the faculty annual evaluation, and draft rubrics to illustrate “meets expectations”, “exceeds expectations”, and “development suggested”.
