Dr. Arnold is a 1998 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY, in 1999 and a surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center in 2002. Following a lectureship in large animal surgery at Texas A&M, she joined the faculty at Kansas State University as a clinical-track assistant professor. She returned to Texas A&M in 2006 and became an associate professor in 2015. Her clinical work is on equine soft tissue surgery, while her research efforts are focused on the equine gastrointestinal microbiome in states of health and disease.
