Is the diagnosis of caudal cruciate ligament injuries increasing? Are there truly more cases of this condition or have diagnostic modalities improved to help identify what has long been a problem? Are dogs with certain tasks, such as canine athletes, at a higher risk factor? This lecture looks at the current state of caudal cruciate ligament injuries, how to best diagnose them, and how to best manage them. The goal is for the attendee to recognize caudal cruciate injuries as part of the working differential in canine patients with a hind limb lameness and stifle effusion.
