This seminar focuses on collaboration between veterinary medicine/surgery and other allied health disciples and industry. This showcases the integrative efforts of multiple disciplines working together (locally, nationally, and internationally) to attain optimal health and care for both humans and animals. The objective of this seminar is to describe collaborative efforts between numerous specialties within the general field of veterinary and human medicine.
The crossover between veterinarians, MDs and bioengineers are often extensive. Specifically, the development of novel medical devices and surgical techniques often requires teamwork from a combination of these specialties. This seminar will present common musculoskeletal research that would not be possible without a scientific team approach involving veterinarians and bioengineers.
PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Atala's lecture will run until 12:30 pm. Lunch will begin at 12 pm.
