Dr. Mittel is a faculty member at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine with over 25 years as an equine practitioner. As a Diagnostic Intelligence Officer with the Veterinary Support Services team, she provides consultation for the NY State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. She has a particular interest in equine infectious diseases, particularly tick-borne diseases, parasitology, and fevers of unknown origins. She is an active member of the AAEP, USAHA, American Horse Council Committee on Health and Regulatory Medicine and a consultant to the ARK Import Export Center at JFK.
