Dr. Amelia Woolums received her DVM from Purdue University. She completed an Agricultural Practices internship at Kansas State University and a Large Animal Internal Medicine residency at the University of Saskatchewan. She received her PhD from UC Davis, where she studied the immune response to bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV). Dr. Woolums is diplomate of ACVIM and ACVM. She is a professor in the Department of Pathobiology and Population Medicine at Mississippi State University, where she teaches, works in the food animal clinic, and conducts bovine respiratory disease research.
