What physical and psychosocial challenges are patients facing during the COVID-19 pandemic and how can clinicians help support their health and well-being? At the Association of Rheumatology Professionals’ COVID lecture, a physical therapist and licensed clinical social worker share insights on both the physical rehabilitation needs of COVID-19 patients in recovery and the psychosocial implications of the pandemic on patients with rheumatic disease. Participants will explore how COVID-19 may affect physical l function and current treatment guidelines for physical rehabilitation. They will also explore evidence-based interventions to help rheumatology patients enhance their resilience during this stressful time.
