In this popular session, the editors will share insights on how to turn one’s study into a manuscript and decide where to submit it, what content and format features will be considered in editorial decision-making, and how to revise a manuscript and respond to reviewer comments, as well as how to conduct manuscript peer review. Participants will be invited to ask the editors any questions about submitting to, reviewing for, or other aspects of the journals of the ACR.

Learning Objectives:

• Describe the factors that will improve the likelihood of acceptance of manuscripts submitted to the ACR journals
• Discuss the peer-review process, and the criteria on which manuscripts are judged; understand the steps in writing excellent reviews, and how to become a potential reviewer for the ACR journals
• List the goals and best practices of publication of basic science, clinical, rehabilitation, and sociomedical research studies
