Guest speaker, Steven D. Spandorfer MD, Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Associate Professor of Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, will discuss assisted reproductive technology in rheumatic disease patients and provide an overview of IVF with regards to RD patients, discuss oocyte and embryo cryopreservation, and discuss how to limit risk e.g. multiple gestation, DVT.

Learning Objectives:

• Present information on the role of assisted reproductive technology in persons with rheumatic diseases and network with an expert on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) techniques
• Review the risks of ART procedures in rheumatic disease patients and discuss patients' experiences using ART
• Use the knowledge gained from experts regarding ART in rheumatic disease patients and apply this knowledge to rheumatology clinical practice
