In this study group, participants address the new antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) classification criteria development efforts, which are supported by the ACR and EULAR. An international multidisciplinary effort is underway to develop new, methodologically rigorous classification criteria for the purpose of identifying patients highly likely to have APS. Given that APS classification criteria development is of interest to APS experts worldwide, as well as the broader rheumatology community, this study group will foster APS research and mentorship opportunities for junior investigators and trainees.

Learning Objectives:

• Discuss the current progress related to APS classification criteria development with APS clinicians, researchers, patients, and other interested physicians and methodologists
• Review opportunities for international collaboration on research studies to help validate and further refine the draft classification criteria
• Discuss research and mentorship opportunities with APS experts worldwide and off-shoot research study opportunities related to the new draft classification criteria
