Professional development and education
This day-long workshop will gather providers and practice administrators to review new changes to the evaluation and management (E/M) code descriptors for telehealth, office and other outpatient visits in 2021. As we all navigate challenging and uncertain times, it is important to work together to master the many code changes that have emerged, including prolonged services without direct patient contact, interprofessional telephone/internet/electronic medical record assessments, online medical evaluation, and services provided by clinical staff. The limitations of other non-face-to-face services, such as care plan oversight, will also be reviewed by a panel of experts.
This full-day course will help guide rheumatologists and their practice staff to compare the current structure of the office and outpatient codes in contrast to the 2021 E/M office and outpatient E/M codes for all levels of service. New coding instructions for encounters with both new and existing patients will be explored. The guidelines covered will strengthen practice flow essential to running a successful rheumatology practice beyond providing clinical service.
The PM course provides practice leaders with the tools and techniques every practice needs to help improve efficiency and increase profitability.
