Patients with immunodeficiencies can present with autoimmune or inflammatory manifestations. The overall goals of this session are to highlight the overlap between immunodeficiencies and autoimmune conditions, and to discuss mechanisms that may underlie this predilection for breaks in tolerance. Faculty will provide specific examples of immune dysregulation that may induce both immunodeficiency and autoimmunity. They will share practical considerations for when and how to evaluate for immune deficiency in patients with inflammatory rheumatic presentations.
