This session focuses on lupus nephritis and perspectives for a new decade. Faculty will focus on early biomarkers for diagnostic and prognostic purposes, as well as the description of current treatment guidelines from multiple societies. They will make an effort to discuss the role of repeated biopsy to assess response and maintenance therapy, and to describe some promising new therapies in development.

• Discuss current treatment algorithms for LN
• Describe the rationale behind serial biopsy approach in LN
• Review new modalities of treatment in late-phase clinical trials in LN
• Discuss early predictors of response to treatment in LN
