In the first half of this informative, practical session, faculty will review best practices for designing scientific posters, focusing on organization of information and visual format considerations, including colors, fonts, and images. In the second half of the session, faculty will discuss the use of infographics as information delivery devices and how to create effective infographics for presentations.

Learning Objectives:

• Describe how to organize abstract information into succinct key concepts
• Describe how to envision information and create a theme in a visual presentation
• Discuss the optimal use of text, fonts, charts, graphs, color and images in poster panels
• Explain the concept of infographics and discuss their relevance in the field of rheumatology
• Discuss examples of effective infographics and describe how to create them
