Large vessel vasculitis (LVV) as a disease is defined by imaging. With proposed classification criteria and management guidelines for LVV both including imaging, rheumatologists need to be familiar with the different imaging modalities, and the data for their utility in the diagnosis and long-term follow up of these diseases. This symposium will review key modalities used in the diagnosis and long-term management of LVV. Faculty will review the data for the use of the imaging modalities, and the pitfalls and promise of each as they relate to diagnosis and treatment decision making.
