With the implementation of MACRA, quality metrics have played an increasing role in both improving patient care and determining reimbursement. This session will focus on updates on MACRA’s quality measure requirements, and new quality measures developed through the ACR. After reviewing a background of why MACRA came to be, we will update members on the ACR’s recent progress in improving quality measurement in rheumatology, including high-priority measures focused on patient safety and patient-reported outcomes. Finally, the session will wrap up with a practical approach to applying these measures in the clinic.
