This session will review the existing literature and evidence underlying diagnosis, classification, monitoring and therapy for select and less common systemic vasculitides of childhood, including the potential role of precision medicine approaches. Faculty will review novel aspects of both small and larger vessel pediatric vasculitides, and highlight advances in genomic tools in the work-up of these pediatric vasculitides. They will highlight the prevalence of Deficiency of Adenosine Deaminase DADA2 in both PAN and small-vessel vasculopathies, review best-care practices in the work-up and therapy of A20 Haploinsufficiency (HA20) and Behcet’s syndrome, and provide an update on novel diagnostic aspects of Takayasu’s disease. Faculty also will discuss the potential role for radiographic disease markers in assessing activity and therapeutic response in large-vessel vasculitis.
