The daily practice of medicine, for better or worse, is shaped by regulation and legislation. Everything from the number of clicks in an electronic health record to the viability of a practice has underpinnings in decisions made by the government. This session will provide an overview of the year in advocacy efforts from the ACR, with a focus on how to become involved in these ongoing advocacy efforts. The session will be capped off with perspectives from a member of the U.S. Congress with a view of the landscape for the coming year. This session's message to potential participants is: "Remember: If you're not at the table, you're on the menu!"

Learning Objectives:

• Review current and future areas of focus of the ACR's Government Affairs Committee
• Recognize regulatory issues likely to affect ACR members in the coming year
• Identify ways to become involved in the ACR's advocacy efforts
