New Model Architecture
Ian Baldwin, AIA, is principal of New Model Architecture, in Providence, RI. He is a practicing architect, writer and educator with deep experience in adaptive reuse, infrastructure, land-use regulation and urban design. He served as a mayoral appointee to the Providence Zoning Board of Review, and has presented on land use and urban streetscapes at CONSTRUCT, ACSA and ANFA. He was an editorial board member of the BSA and currently co-chairs its Access Committee. With his former practice, DUAL, he published SLICE, a visionary adaptive-reuse proposal funded by the James Marston Fitch Foundation, in March 2020.
