Alex Zink, AIA, is an architect at Payette Associates in Boston, working on academic laboratory buildings with a key emphasis on maximizing energy performance. Payette seeks to push the AEC industry forward by making some of the most energy intensive buildings, labs and hospitals, as sustainable and efficient as possible. Alex has been passionate about protecting the environment since childhood, and at Payette he has helped lower projects' Energy Use Index (EUI = kBtu/sf/yr), embodied carbon, and stormwater runoff. Alex has a Bachelor’s of Architecture degree with a minor in urban planning from Cornell University.
