See through the eyes of a Passive House Verifier how a project born from student design and built by trade apprentices is working to achieve PHIUS Certification. This workshop will outline the progression of an innovative concept to a fully realized project and detail the lessons learned along the way. Low income, in-fill, 1000 square foot, student designed, apprentice built, PHIUS Certified small homes.. this workshop has it all.

Learning Objectives:

Learn about the process and requirements of PHIUS+ certification and the skills necessary to facilitate working with subs who are unfamiliar with high performance construction.
Learn the building science behind how PHIUS construction techniques significantly reduce loads and energy consumption, create a healthy indoor environment, and increase the durability of the structure.
Design and implement an action plan for Passive House Verification.
Avoid issues associated with the Passive House Certification process.
