Professor and Chief - Trauma, Acute and Critical Care Surgery
Suresh Agarwal lives in Durham, NC with his wife and three daughters. When not playing with American Girl Dolls and Barbies, he enjoys reading, playing board games and golf. In 2017 he became the Chief of the Division of Trauma, Acute & Critical Care Surgery and tenured Professor in the Department of Surgery at Duke University. Prior (since 2012) to that he was Division Chief of the Division of Trauma, Acute Care, Burns, and Surgical Critical Care and Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin. He started his career iat Boston Medical Center and the Boston University School of Medicine in 2003 after finiishing fellowships in Trauma, Surgical Critical Care and Thoracic Surgery. His research interests include outcomes in trauma populations, health care disparity, ARDS, and sepsis.
