Dr. Khaled Abdul Jawad is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. Born and raised in Lebanon, he studied at the American University of Beirut where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2015 and Doctor of Medicine degree in 2019 before moving to the United States for a research fellowship in trauma surgery and surgical critical care at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Dr. Abdul Jawad's research interests include clinical outcomes in patients with traumatic injuries and innovation in surgical education. Upon completion of his research fellowship, he intends to pursue a general surgery residency and eventually trauma and surgical critical care fellowships in the future. Dr. Abdul Jawad is also a global health advocate who is always trying to raise the voice of medical students and junior doctors at international conferences held by the World Health Organization and other UN agencies.
