Jody C. DiGiacomo, M.D., FACS is the Director of Surgical Critical Care, Associate Director of Trauma, and Director of Geriatric Surgery at the Nassau University Medical Center, an ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center and Safety Net Hospital in Long Island, New York. After graduating from the Temple University School of Medicine, he completed his surgical residency at St. Francis Medical Center, a Catholic community hospital in Trenton, New Jersey. After completing a two year Fellowship in Trauma and Surtgical Critical Care at the University of Pennsylvania, he has worked at Level 1 Trauma academic centers, Level 2 Trauma centers, and was in solo private practice before returning to Nassau in 2015. Dr. DiGiacomo has a deep interest in the management of acute injury and illness in geriatric and elderly patients.
