Catherine has led NWF’s Offshore Wind Energy Program for the last 10 years, working to build support for responsibly developed offshore wind power as a critical climate change solution. She is an appointed member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Offshore Wind Habitat Working Group, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s Environmental Technical Working Group for Offshore Wind Energy, and Connecticut’s Commission on Environmental Standards for Offshore Wind Energy and New Jersey’s Environmental Resources Offshore Wind Working Group. She is a co-founder and Steering Committee member of the New York Offshore Wind Alliance and serves on the Board of Directors for RENEW Northeast. Prior to joining NWF’s staff in 2003, Catherine spent 5 years at the Conservation Law Foundation, working to build support for advocacy to protect New England’s environment and communities. She holds a Masters Degree in Environmental Policy from Bard College and a Political Science degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
