Mark is responsible for power station capital projects for the Company and its affiliates. Since 2000, he has been responsible for the installation of numerous projects for the Company, including major plant retrofits, new power stations, and renewables, including solar, onshore wind, and the offshore wind program.
Since 2013, Mark and his team have lead construction of investments of
more than $3.5 billion in renewables which has increased Dominion Energy’s total renewable portfolio from 41 megawatts to over 2,600 to become the 4th largest solar portfolio in the United States located in nine states, with a commitment to add another 3000 MWs of renewable power by 2022. His team is currently focused on the installation of the CVOW offshore wind pilot project, as well as development of the 2600 MW CVOW commercial offshore wind project.
Mark joined the Company in 2000 as a project manager and assumed his current position in January 2014.
Prior to joining Dominion Energy, Mark worked for Reynolds Metals from 1995 to 2000 on various projects in the United States, Europe, and Africa. From 1982 to 1995, he worked in the utility industry on various projects for large utilities, including construction and startups for four nuclear plants.
A native of Ashland, Virginia, Mark received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Delaware Master’s degree in business administration from Wilmington College. He is a registered professional engineer in Virginia and Pennsylvania. He also attended the Reactor Technology Course for utility executives at MIT and The Executive Program at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
