Dan Gerhan is Director and Senior Litigation Counsel at Boston Scientific and has worked at BSC since January 2006. Prior to that, he was a partner at Faegre & Benson, now Faegre Baker Daniels, and worked at the firm for 18 years. Dan was also associated with Morgan Lewis & Bockius for 3 years after graduating from the Georgetown University Law Center with a Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1984. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Minnesota, and is a member of the American and Minnesota Bar Associations, as well as the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel.
In private practice, Dan focused on employment and business litigation, and represented clients in state and federal courts across the country. He has successfully tried cases in both state and federal court, and prevailed in appeals before the Second, Sixth and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeal, as well as the New York Court of Appeals. In addition, he has represented employers in dozens of traditional labor and business dispute arbitrations.
At BSC, he manages a wide range of litigation matters, including employment, non-compete, and business disputes, product liability matters, and qui tam investigations and lawsuits, both in the US and internationally. He is a frequent speaker at CLE’s on topics ranging from legal ethics and privilege issues for in-house attorneys, to the management of litigation matters, internal and external investigations and responses to information demands from government attorneys.
