Guljit has 42+ years of successful global business experience. He took early retirement from being a Director/Global Advisor at a large US-based global manufacturer in Chicago to pursue other challenging opportunities. Starting as a Design Engineer, he worked for 39+ years in positions of increasing responsibility as the company grew from a small start-up to a large global manufacturer of disposable medical devices. Over the years, Guljit’s focus shifted from USA to Europe and eventually to Asia-Pacific and South America, with a proven record of maintaining and sustaining the progress achieved while expanding in all markets.
An engineer and manager by training, Guljit played a major role in setting up three large entities/businesses in USA, Europe, and Asia, creating hundreds of new jobs. The last major undertaking, a greenfield project with complete responsibility, was the development of a manufacturing base in Asia-Pacific starting with a business case leading to the setting up of a world-class medical device plant in North India in record time and on budget. All major projects worldwide were for strategic growth.
Guljit has extensive experience in all aspects of running a global business – business and quality regulations, setting up legal entities, business acquisitions, business restructurings, marketing, legal, financing, manufacturing, human resources, information technology, marketing, product development, land acquisition, government relations, etc. The early part of his career was spent in designing and building highly specialized, proprietary manufacturing equipment and plant start-ups.
