For many patients, including seniors and people with disabilities, being able to access affordable health care services can be a confusing process. Right now, there is a lot of talk in Washington, and in the states, about changing the public programs that provide essential health care services and prescription drug coverage for these patients, namely Medicare and Medicaid. Unfortunately, many of these proposed policies don’t actually put the patient first and jeopardize the ability of patients to access their medications and other health care services. However, there are proposals out there that would take into consideration the needs of patients and ensure that the public programs continue to work for the patient.
During this session, learn about what is being proposed at the federal and state levels of government, and how these proposals are either the wrong, or the right, prescription for health care in America today.
