As the world becomes more data-minded than ever, it can be challenging to identify methods to use the information in an impactful way. This session will provide an introduction to using state and national-level disability statistics to enhance advocacy, public education, and business development efforts. Building upon the data expressed in the 2018 Disability Data Digest report developed by The Arc of the United States and MediSked, the presenters will discuss the value of using data-driven approaches to communicate with a variety of different audiences including state legislators, prospective donors, and the community-at-large. The presenter will equip participants with strategies, plans, and resources which participants will be able to implement when developing external-facing communications to achieve maximum impact.
