Join The Arc's National Council of Self-Advocates for our annual convention session. This is part 2 of this 2-part session focusing on the importance of voting. Following Julia Bascom, autism rights advocate and Executive Director of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network keynote address in part 1, we learned about important federal legislation and discussed how to learn about candidates and their positions. Julia also discussed the importance of voting in elections. Now part 2 of our session will be interactive. Self-Advocates will have time to discuss different ways to get involved in elections. Individuals will also be supported to register to vote.
