Heinrich Gärtner (born 1972) founded the renewable energy company GP JOULE together with Ove Petersen in 2009. Already in 2003 they had begun to realize open field photovoltaic parks at their farms, breaking world records in the MW category. Today, he acts as Chief Techology Officer (CTO) of the renewable energy company group with a focus on research & development and internationalisation. Also he serves as CEO of I-I-TEC SYSTEMS GmbH.
The born Bavarian studied together with his founding partner Ove Petersen at Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, As a qualified agricultural engineer, he also runs an agricultural business located in Buttenwiesen, just around the corner of the main subsidiary of GP JOULE in Germany.
In order to promote the necessary innovative technologies for renewable energies, Heinrich Gärtner is active in various associations, including as a member of the executive committee of the BVES Bundesverband Energiespeicher [German Energy Storage Association].
