Lucas is responsible for growing Recurrent Energy’s solar paired and stand-alone energy storage business. His work at Recurrent Energy has spanned the breadth of the energy storage landscape – from PPA negotiation to battery manufacturer diligence. Key among the success Lucas has brought to the company is a PPA award from Silicon Valley Clean Energy and Monterey Bay Community Power for 150 MW PV with 45 MW of four hour energy storage. Lucas continues to work with the teams at Recurrent Energy and Canadian Solar to find ways to increase the value and flexibility of PV generation with energy storage.
Lucas has been with Recurrent Energy since 2015, originally working in strategic procurement. Prior to joining Recurrent Energy, Lucas spent five years consulting for large companies power and energy companies such as: Duke Energy Progress, Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, SoCal Gas, TransAlta, NRG, and PG&E. He received his bachelor’s degree in Earth Systems - Energy Science and Technology from Stanford University.
