Pranav Ravindraray Mehta is globally recognized solar energy thought leader who played a crucial role in India achieving a rapid solar growth over the past 10 years. As founder Chairman of National Solar Energy Federation of India, his role in solar proliferation in the country is highly recognized where India’s installed capacity was at 3 MW in 2009 and today India is the third largest solar market in the world and fifth largest in terms of installed capacity with a total installed solar capacity of 30,000 MW. Shri Mehta is the first Indian to be elected as Chairman of Global Solar Council, which launched at Paris during UN COP 21 Climate Change dialogue as a private sector response to Global Warming by solar associations and industry from over 40 countries.
