Electric Power Research Institute
Sean Hackett is an Engineer/Scientist III at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). He is a key member of EPRI’s Solar Generation program, which provides guidance on existing and future solar technologies, plants, and life cycle best practices.
At EPRI, Mr. Hackett focuses on developing best practices for PV plant design specifications, equipment reliability, and maintenance strategies.
Mr. Hackett joined EPRI in 2018 after working in the solar industry for more than 10 years. His primary experience is in the engineering, procurement & construction of large-scale ground-mounted and commercial-rooftop PV plants and managing the project design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities.
Mr. Hackett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Technology from Appalachian State University and has been a North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) PV Installation Professional since 2011.
