Joe Halso is an attorney at the Sierra Club, where he works to electrify our nation's cars, trucks and buses. Joe leads Sierra Club’s work on policy and legal issues at the intersection of electric vehicles and utility regulation. He has a particular expertise in the design of utility programs to deploy vehicle charging infrastructure, including regulatory models for this new area of utility investment. Joe handles these matters before state utility commissions across the country, and has twice taught a course on transportation and energy issues at Vermont Law School. He also works to advance and protect clean transportation policies at the state and federal levels. Joe holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan, and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He is based in Denver, CO.
