Executive Director & Advisors
American Solar Grazing Association
Our team of presenters is Lyndsey Smith, Ashley Bridge & Lexie Hain of the American Solar Grazing Association.
The American Solar Grazing Association (ASGA) works to promote grazing with sheep on solar arrays nationwide. ASGA facilitates solar grazing research and best practices for the emerging solar grazing industry. Learn more at www.solargrazing.org.
Leading the workshop is Lyndsey Smith, a sheep farmer and agriculture communication specialist based in the Ottawa River Valley, Canada. Currently a solar grazier at a 200-acre solar site, Lyndsey and her partner Chris run Shady Creek Lamb Co., raising lamb and wool for their local market. In her second decade of agriculture media, Lyndsey is also a keynote speaker on public perception and social license regarding farming, and a writer, broadcaster, and workshop facilitator.
Ashley Bridge is solar grazier and owner of Fortunate Ewe Farm in Upstate New York. She finds joy in maintaining new solar sites and creating healthy landscapes with grazing sheep. She has direct experience with farmers, agricultural communities, and solar grazing.
Lexie Hain is the Executive Director of the American Solar Grazing Association, co-owner of Agrivoltaic Solutions and owner of Two Mothers Farm. She saw the need to create a bridge between the agricultural community and the solar industry and formed ASGA in 2018. Her grazing business offers solar owners vegetation management grazing sheep in the Finger Lakes of New York State. The business also consults on certain design, construction, and operational considerations for solar developers.
Each presenter is co-sponsored by EDF Renewables, Nexamp & EnterSolar.
