Jackson manages the solar technology practice for DNV GL in the Americas Region. Jackson has worked in the field of photovoltaics since 2007, managing system engineering and inverter product development teams. Immediately prior to joining DNV GL, Jackson managed front-end engineering and permit engineering for utility-scale PV projects at NextLight Renewable Power and First Solar. In this role, he was responsible for site selection, performance evaluation, permit engineering and supporting the negotiation of power purchase agreements and purchase-and-sale agreements for utility-scale solar projects. Prior to the PV industry, Jackson was an electrical and controls engineer for electric utility SCADA systems. Jackson received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Louisville and is the inventor on three US patents related to inverter control algorithms.
