Chris has been a developer and investor in wind and solar energy since 2002. In his current role at Google Treasury, he manages a $1+ billion portfolio of renewable energy and affordable housing investments and serves on the boards of two project companies. Prior to Google, Chris was co-founder and Chief Development Officer for Element Power US, a global developer and operator of wind and solar energy projects. Prior to Element Power, he led development for the Western region for EDP Renewables. Chris has developed and/or closed sales of 2+ GW of wind and solar projects.

Chris currently serves on the advisory board of the Green Energy Institute at Lewis & Clark Law School and previously served as a board member of the Association of Washington Business, Renewable Northwest and the Oregon Wave Energy Trust as well as the Wind Solar Alliance and AWEA’s Wind PAC. He graduated from Amherst College and received his Master’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He lives in Portland, Oregon.
