In partnership with the Salal Foundation and workforce development experts, The Solar Foundation will host an educational session designed to provide solar employers with a deeper understanding of opportunities and strategies for workforce development, particularly related to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The workshop will include discussion of how this legislation plays out at state and local levels, and explore the ways that public resources currently underutilized by the industry can support development of a strong and stable solar workforce at regional scales. Solar companies will gain actionable information in order to engage Workforce Development Boards and access funding for customized on-the-job training.
