Senior Director, Health Services, Boston Public Schools

Margaret has over 30 years’ experience in Urban Health Care. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), a nationally certified school nurse, and a nationally certified Asthma Educator. She began her career in New York City working as a visiting nurse specializing in maternal child health. She has worked in Community Health Centers as a Nurse Manager, Family Nurse Practitioner, and a Medical Site Manager. She was a school nurse in the Boston Public Schools for over 10 years. During this time, she received the American Lung Association Asthma-Friendly Schools Initiative (AFSI) Silver Award and the Community Champion Award from Health Resources in Action for her efforts in helping young students suffering from asthma. She is currently the Senior Director of Health Services for the Boston Public Schools (BPS). Margaret has been integral to the implementation and success of the PWTF interventions involving BPS along with clinical partners.
