Katherine B. Brownlowe received her medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed residency in psychiatry at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine and was honored as chief resident during her final year. She then completed a fellowship in neuropsychiatry at the University of Massachusetts College of Medicine and is both board-certified in Psychiatry as well as in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry. She is an assistant professor in the departments of Psychiatry and Neurology at The Ohio State College of Medicine Wexner Medical Center. She is course director for the clinical neurosciences didactic program, and is medical director for inpatient services and psychiatric emergency services at OSU. As a neuropsychiatrist, she treats people with brain injuries, Parkinson disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia, and neurological tumors.
