Christopher P. Kogut, M.D., M.S.W. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Virginia Commonwealth University. He serves as the William and Ruth McDonough Professor in Graduate Psychiatric Education and is the Director of Residency Education. Dr. Kogut’s clinical interests include: Psychiatric Education, HIV Psychiatry, LGBT+ Psychiatry and Psychiatry in the Medically Ill. He was awarded the VCUHealth Leadership in Graduate Medical Education Program Director Award in 2017 and has been named “Top Doctor, Psychiatry” by Richmond Magazine in 2015. He is active in multiple clinical, research, service and educational areas related to Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry. He was named a Fellow of the Academy of Consultation/Liaison Psychiatry in 2014.
