Dax Volle, MD

Resident Physician, UCLA

Dax Clayton Volle was born and raised in rural Illinois and earned his medical degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. With interests including consultation-liaison psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, psycho-oncology, psychotherapy, and medical education, he is the recipient of several awards including the AAGP Honors Scholarship and the Ruth Carr Leadership in Reflective Practice Scholarship. He was second author on a paper published in the American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry examining strategies to promote cognitive health in the aging brain and is currently working on a book chapter exploring the relationship between nutraceuticals and wellness. He currently serves as program chief resident at UCLA and will pursue a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at UCLA after graduation. Outside of residency he enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his wife Laila and their daughter Amira.
