Brian Agan, MD

Deputy Science Director, USU Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program, HJF

Dr. Agan currently serves as the Deputy Science Director and HIV Research Director in the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program at the Uniformed Services University through the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine. He has been part of military HIV clinical care and research for 20 years, serving roles including US Air Force HIV Unit Director and US Military HIV Natural History Study (NHS) site and lead PI. Major research interests include understanding outcomes of HIV infection and its treatment, both at the individual and population levels, with a focus on diagnosis and prevention of HIV associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND).
