Associate Program Director/Assistant Clinical Professor, John Peter Smith Hospital Psychiatry Residency Program

Dr. DeMoss completed medical school from the University of North Texas Health Science Center prior to matriculating into the Internal Medicine/Psychiatry Combined residency program at Tulane University in New Orleans in 2009. After residency, he returned to Ft. Worth to work and train residents and medical students at John Peter Smith Hospital as their associate program director for the psychiatric residency program and as assistant clinical professor at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Dr. DeMoss's research interests include depression in the primary care setting and alternative treatments for alcohol withdrawal. Being board certified in internal medicine, psychiatry, and addiction medicine affords Dr. DeMoss the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings including the psychiatric emergency department, the psychiatric consult/liaison service, as well as on in-patient psychiatric teams where he can fully deploy breadth of his training.
During his down time he enjoys gardening, bee-keeping, and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
