Paul Parcon is a resident physician at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Department of Psychiatry. He completed his BS in physics at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He completed a combined MD/PhD dual degree program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR, with a PhD thesis on the role of neuroinflammation and autophagy on ApoE and Alzheimer's disease under the mentorship of W. Sue T. Griffin, PhD. He has professional interests in memory and dementia, geriatrics, clinical applications of autophagy, biology of aging, HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders, neuroinflammation, and LGBT issues in psychiatry.
