Jenifer Cushman is Chancellor of Penn State Beaver, where she spearheads the Experiential Digital Global Engagement (EDGE) effort. Based on the SUNY COIL model, EDGE connects Penn State students on class projects with students around the world through technology. Cushman earned her PhD in German from the Ohio State University, and then taught English in Russia and Poland, first with the Peace Corps and then privately. 2015 President of the Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA), Cushman first engaged with international education administration through the University of Minnesota study abroad curriculum integration effort, as a German faculty member at University of Minnesota, Morris. Formerly Dean of International Education at NAFSA Simon-Award-winning Juniata College, she chaired the 2014 Simon committee. She was an ACE Fellow in 2010-2011, was named Campus Dean at Ohio University Zanesville in 2014, and Penn State Beaver chancellor in 2016. She has participated in Fulbright Seminars to Eastern Europe, India, and France, and contributed to the 2013 NAFSA publication "Improving and Assessing Global Learning” and the 2016 Internationalizing the Undergraduate Psychology Curriculum: Practical Lessons Learned At Home and Abroad.
