Nothing to Disclose
Primary prevention of cardiovascular disease requires multifaceted approaches, including lifestyle modification and appropriate use of pharmacotherapy. Treatment strategies include, but are not limited to, controlling hypertension, statin-based therapy, and use of antiplatelet therapy. During the session, faculty will review new hypertension, cholesterol, and aspirin guidelines, as well as the most relevant evidence guiding these recommendations. Using audience-response technology, learners will have the opportunity to engage actively with advanced, complex case discussions. Upon completion of this session, learners will be better prepared to provide evidence-based pharmacotherapy therapy for primary prevention patients, aligned with current clinical practice guidelines.
This activity is approved for Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) recertification credit.
