Intensive Studies for Recertification (CE)
Educational Sessions (CE)
ACPE Activity #0204-0000-19-233-L01-P
1.50 Contact Hours | Application-based
This session is designed to evaluate literature and strategies for ketamine use in adult and pediatric critical care settings, focusing on pain management, opioid tolerance, and status epilepticus. The faculty will contrast adult and pediatric literature and clinical pearls so learners will be better equipped in practical applications of ketamine. During the session, learners will apply the information to patient case scenarios using audience-response technology. New ketamine data will be discussed, providing insight into recent trials, while “behind the scenes” personal practice experiences and challenges with ketamine will be integrated throughout. Faculty will emphasize key takeaways that learners will be able to apply when they return to their practice settings.
This session is approved for Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist (BCCCP), Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS), and Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) recertification credit.
